Dance World

I hate Christmas. No, I’m only joking really – but the trouble is, in Australia, Christmas can be a bit of a dancing drought. It’s our summer right now, so most of the dance schools close down for the long summer vacation, in line with regular schools – even if their students are mainly adults. It means that for most of us, there are no dance classes for at least six weeks and sometimes longer.

You can see why they close down – it’s a busy time for most families so attendance at classes would be bound to drop. If you’re in the Northern hemisphere, just think how busy you’d be if you had to cope with the festive season and the summer holidays all rolled into one! It’s hard to find time for writing, either – so this blog may be a bit thin on posts for the next month or so!
